Does anyone have a grant review rubric for mindfulness funding?

Does your Foundation fund the purchase of a building or pay for major capital expenses? If so, can you send any contract verbiage and/or copy of a contract that your foundation uses when making capital grants, specifically verbiage that speaks to repayment if a loan goes into default or is foreclosed on?

Our foundation is in its fifth year of our teen pregnancy prevention initiative and we would like to know what other funders are doing in this space that is proving to be successful. Included in this initiative is education around STDs/STIs as well as healthy decision making, community meetings with parents/teens (communication strategies) and youth leadership.

One of our member foundations is looking for information on decision-making processes in foundations (private, public, or family). Apart from the well-known methods of “consensus” and “majority vote,” do any of the foundations that you work with or that are familiar with, have special processes?

GEO frequently hears that grantmakers, no matter their role, want to make meaningful changes in how they operate in order to make progress on the issues that matter most to them. The most recent GEO member surveys show that nearly two-thirds of members are involved in some kind of change effort, driven by a desire to better serve the nonprofits and the communities they support.
