The Courage to Change

Join us to hear how Haymarket People’s Fund embarked on a deliberate process to advance the mission and undo the racism ingrained in every aspect of their organization.

Event Details

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted again the many disparities that are built into the systems that surround us. The work to advance equity and reimagine our systems requires complexity, nuance and dedication. During this webinar, you’ll have the opportunity to delve into content that would have been offered at GEO’s 2020 National Conference, hearing how Haymarket People’s Fund, an anti-racist, multicultural foundation that funds grassroots community organizing across New England embarked on a deliberate process to advance the mission and undo the racism ingrained in every aspect of their organization. The open-ended process they used has been transformative for the organization’s structure: leading Haymarket to a rewritten mission, updated policies and practices, and a reimagined leadership structure and organizational culture. Hear from the organization’s leaders as they share insights about Haymarket’s history, their anti-racism journey and participatory grantmaking process while offering resources to help your organization in its own journey.

Start: Monday, April 27, 2:00 PM Eastern

End: Monday, April 27, 3:30 PM Eastern
