CEO Peer Community

Around the nation, leaders are holding an aspirational vision for what philanthropy can make possible even as we navigate a moment with no clear precedent in recent history. It’s no wonder that we continue to hear from our peers that “being a CEO can be a lonely space." We believe, with the right support, it does not have to be. GEO invites you to be a part of our CEO Peer Community.

About the Community

This peer community is a space for reflection, connection and shared learning among philanthropic leaders interested in practicing anti-racist leadership. Together, we will explore what it means to lead with care, integrity and accountability to communities.

CEO Peer Community are CEOs, Presidents and Executive Directors of national, regional and family foundations and institutions.

As part of the community, we host quarterly calls featuring facilitated conversations with Marcus Walton, GEO’s President and CEO, and invited guests. Each call includes time to learn about a relevant framework or practice, reflect on personal and organizational application and identify next steps. Together, we will explore what it means to lead with care, integrity and accountability to communities. These calls, and future in-person gatherings, will offer a confidential space for embodiment, accompaniment and deepening our collective resolve. We trust that you will both offer support and receive support. You don’t have to do this alone.

If you are interested in taking time for periodic pausing, re-centering, learning and un-learning with your peers, simply express interest and found out more information, please fill out this form.
