In this session, participants will engage with a framework, tool, and case example of complex social change. Racial equity practitioners from Circle Forward and OpenSource Leadership Strategies, part of Borealis Philanthropy’s REACH cohort will share a community-centered experience that demonstrates the power of the consent principle in aligning people and governance processes around the value of objections and dissent for collective innovation. They will prompt funders to surface barriers and opportunities for mind- and practice- shifts needed in their institutions, as well as the philanthropic sector overall, to better resource transformative networks.
