Rooted & Responsive Practice Series: Part 2
Rooted & Responsive is GEO’s multi-year leadership initiative helping grantmakers stay grounded in racial equity and community-centered practice amid disruption.
As part of this initiative, we’re offering a three-part webinar series designed to help grantmakers build the capacity to navigate change with purpose. Together, these sessions explore the ongoing practices of unlearning, courage and interdependence required to operationalize racial equity and align our internal structures with our values.
Join us for part two of the series, focused on cultivating interdependence. True transformation requires philanthropy to move beyond the independent actor model and embrace deeper connection across the social fabric. This session explores how to unlearn the common “hero” narrative in philanthropy, repositioning funders as partners who work in solidarity. By practicing interdependence, we ensure our practice is responsive to community expertise and grounded in the relationships needed to sustain long-term change.
This is Part 2 of a three-part series. Revisit Part 1: Anchoring in Vision or continue with Part 3: Embracing Embodiment to deepen your practice and carry these ideas into action.
