GEO transforms philanthropic culture and practice by connecting members to the resources and relationships needed to support thriving nonprofits and communities. That is why GEO offers two-day role-based convenings for those who share similar positionality within grantmaking institutions – especially for CEOs and board members committed to reimagining philanthropic governance and leadership. GEO meaningfully designs each convening based on the particularities of the participants’ roles, fostering a confidential and intimate container for deep connection, resource sharing, thought partnership and peer coaching – as well as an ongoing supportive community of peers to more effectively shepherd equitable organizational culture and practice change within your organization.
To be considered for participation, you must join as a pair (or trio): a President, CEO and/or Executive Director of an organization within the philanthropic sector PLUS a board member of the same philanthropic institution. For organizations with shared leadership models, you may attend as a trio with co-staff leaders or two board members.
This opportunity is open to current GEO members and GEO member-eligible organizations. If you have questions about your GEO membership status or eligibility to join, reach out to GEO’s Membership & Development Manager Autumn Shepherd-Van Patten at shepherd@geofunders.org.
There is a program fee for this offering which covers materials and meals throughout the convening. Participants cover their own travel, lodging and other associated costs with getting to and from the convening location. Scholarships and sliding scale pricing based on your organizational context is available.
GEO Member fee: $500 per person ($1,000 per organization)
