Mark Bailey is the Knowledge and Learning Manager for Grantmakers for Effective Organizations. He works with the Director of Learning to ensure staff have the knowledge, guidance, and information they need to maximize effectiveness. He is responsible for strengthening the availability, accuracy, and usability of data and information so that GEO staff can make informed decisions that advance the mission.
Prior to joining the team at GEO, Mark worked as the Director of Organizational Effectiveness at Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity, where he led the organization’s evaluation, continuous improvement, and general data work. Prior to BranchED, Mark served as the Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Analytics at New Leaders.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Michigan Tech University. He completed the Princeton AlumniCorps Emerging Leaders Program and the Harvard Strategic Data Project’s Institute for Leadership in Analytics. Additionally, Mark has earned his Associate Professional in Human Resources® from the HR Certification Institute.
In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with friends and family, baking vegan treats for his husband, or playing tennis and/or video games on weekends!
