Get a BEER* and Undo Nonprofit Power Dynamics Day

This is a time for nonprofit professionals, foundation staff, and board members and trustees to get together without an agenda, to break down power imbalance and strengthen relationships in our sector.

Event Details

Help us celebrate the third annual Get a BEER* and Undo Nonprofit Power Dynamics Day (GBUNPD for short) on Thursday, June 21, 2018, this year’s Summer Solstice.

In 2016, Vu Le, author of the popular blog Nonprofit AF proposed a now annual day where nonprofits, funders and foundation trustees can see each other as human beings and help decrease the power dynamics so present in our sector. This is a time for nonprofit professionals, foundation staff, and board members and trustees to get together without an agenda, to break down power imbalance and strengthen relationships in our sector.

We’ll be gifting a copy of Vu Le, Jane Leu, and Jessamyn Shams-Lau’s book, The Unicorns: A Nonprofit Relationship Guide Book, to the first 10 pairs who sign up for our happy hour, so start reaching out to your grantees to see who’s available to join you on June 21.

*BEER stands for “Beverage to Enhance Equity in Relationships,” and does not have to be alcoholic.

Start: Thursday, June 21, 4:30 PM Eastern

End: Thursday, June 21, 6:30 PM Eastern
