Growing a Movement: Best Practices for Funders from Intersectional LGBTQ Activists with Funders for LGBTQ Issues

Join GEO, Funders for Justice, Peacock Rebellion, Borealis Philanthropy and Funders for LGBTQ Issues to learn how funders can best support activists and movements mobilizing intersectionally on behalf of multiple marginalized communities.

Event Details

In this time of intensified attacks against marginalized communities–especially against transgender people, LGBTQ people of color, and immigrants–how can funders best support activists and movements mobilizing intersectionally on behalf of multiple targeted communities? This session will feature speakers who are activists from organizations who are doing just that, and the funders who support them. Come join us as we identify concrete recommendations for grantmakers, ranging from taking fresh looks at theories of change to infusing our grantmaking processes with a trauma-informed lens, and explore the role of philanthropy in supporting the people and organizations that make healthier and more resilient movement ecosystems.

Start: Tuesday, February 2, 2:30 PM Eastern

End: Tuesday, February 2, 4:00 PM Eastern

This webinar is free for GEO members and Funders for LGBTQ Issues members. The webinar is $50 for non-members.
