North Carolina Network of Grantmakers’ Promising Practices Gathering brings together grantmakers and philanthropic leaders from across North Carolina to foster community, collaboration and honest reflection. The conference prioritizes deep peer exchange over one-way presentations, providing space for attendees to make meaning together, strengthen network connections and examine what makes partnerships work in practice.
During the conference, GEO will lead a promising practices session focused on capacity building as a tangible, concrete space where equity can be embedded in practice. The session will explore the evolution and lifecycle of capacity building, bridging abstract equity principles with practical, real-world application.
