Rooted & Responsive Practice Series: Part 3
Rooted & Responsive is GEO’s multi-year leadership initiative helping grantmakers stay grounded in racial equity and community-centered practice amid disruption.
As part of this initiative, we’re offering a three-part webinar series designed to help grantmakers build the capacity to navigate change with purpose. Together, these sessions explore the ongoing practices of unlearning, courage and interdependence required to operationalize racial equity and align our internal structures with our values.
The final part of this series focuses on institutional embodiment, aligning internal structures and governance with our values. Together, we’ll identify and deconstruct the friction points that often prevent equity goals from becoming lived practice, using boards as a structure example. By reimagining our structures, we can better equip our organizations to stay accountable to the communities we serve.
This is Part 3 of a three-part series. Revisit Part 1: Anchoring in Vision and Part 2: Cultivating Interdependence to deepen your practice and carry these ideas into action.
