Measuring Love

The Measuring Love Cohort explores how the value of love applies to philanthropy — its ability to reach community through relationships, trust, resources and funding. This cohort supports leaders in philanthropy to return to themselves — aligning hearts, intuition, minds and bodies to actualize our highest and best selves. This cohort is facilitated in deep partnership with Audrey Jordan, PhD and Shiree Teng, based on core concepts presented in the self-published brown paper, Burning Love: An Invitation to Transformative Action, the third of the Measuring Love series.

About the Community

With two in-person and two virtual sessions, this cohort supports leaders in philanthropy to return to themselves — aligning hearts, intuition, minds and bodies to actualize our highest and best selves. We’re living through a time of moral crisis in our society and immense change in our sector. The answer isn’t retrenchment. It’s more love.  It begins by looking inside, investing real time and energy to grow our individual and collective leadership and light. That is what paves the way for a future that is free.

Measuring Love is for grantmakers and consultants in the field of philanthropy who have or aspire to a community-driven philanthropy approach, with the aim to influence funding decisions in the philanthropic sector.

Cohort members:

  • are knowledge managers, program officers, trainers, consultants or others committed to transforming self, others and their circumstances
  • want to live into love practices and be in a learning and accountability cohort for mutual support and healing
  • are seeking to develop ways for intermediaries to heal, be resilient and create a different set of processes and structures
  • are interested in exploring practical and powerful ways to co-create a present and future that supports you, your respective organizations and the communities you serve to thrive

The cohort is open to GEO members and non-members.

Please use your foundation’s grantmaking range (e.g., grants, discretionary, FOI, etc.) to determine your participation fee for the Measuring Love cohort. Consultants should determine their fee based on their organization’s staff size.
