Measuring Love

The Measuring Love Cohort explores how the value of love applies to philanthropy  - it's ability to reach community through relationships, trust, resources and funding. This cohort will support leaders in philanthropy to return to themselves – aligning hearts, intuition, minds and bodies to actualize our highest and best selves. This cohort will be facilitated in deep partnership with Audrey Jordan, PhD and Shiree Teng, based on core concepts presented in the self-published brown paper, Burning Love: An Invitation to Transformative Action, the third of the Measuring Love series.

About the Community

With two in-person and two virtual sessions, this cohort will support leaders in philanthropy to return to themselves – aligning hearts, intuition, minds and bodies to actualize our highest and best selves. We’re living through a time of moral crisis in our society and immense change in our sector. The answer isn’t retrenchment. It’s more love.  It begins by looking inside, investing real time and energy to grow our individual and collective leadership and light. That is what paves the way for a future that is free.

Measuring Love is for those who have or aspire to a community-driven philanthropy approach, with the aim to influence funding decisions in the philanthropic sector. Cohort members will be knowledge managers, program officers, trainers, consultants or others with the commitment to transform self, others and their circumstances.

Together, we will:

  • live into love practices and be in a learning and accountability cohort for mutual support and healing
  • develop ways for intermediaries to heal, be resilient, create a different set of processes and structures
  • explore practical and powerful ways to co-create a present and future that supports them, their respective organizations and the communities they serve – all to thrive

The cohort is open to GEO members and non-members, including grantmakers and consultants in the field of philanthropy.

Please use your foundation’s grantmaking giving range (e.g., grants, discretionary, FOI, etc.) to determine your fee for participation in the Measuring Love cohort. In addition to the fee, participants will be responsible for travel and lodging fees associated with each retreat.
