Join us to learn more about the Change Leaders in Philanthropy Fellowship, an 11-month cohort dedicated to supporting senior leaders as they lead change within their grantmaking organizations

Quarterly call for members of GEO’s Capacity Building Champions peer community. A typical call includes an overview of a new or emerging topic or tool, storytelling, and opportunity to connect with likeminded peers. During this call, the group is focused on the topic: Alternative Governance Models & Leadership/Staffing Structures Join Advisory Committee member Stephanie Hyre & GEO's Mareeha Niaz to have a conversation about alternative governance and staffing structures.

Indiana grantmakers are welcome to join Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) and GEO for this four-part learning series. This cohort-style opportunity provides a space for grantmakers to come together for shared learning and relationship building, supporting each other throughout their implementation journey.

This session will provide a brief overview of GEO's 2024 National Conference RFP. It will include time for answering any questions you may have about the proposal submission process or form.

This session will explore the connection and distinction between the two, and why both should be prioritized for trust-based funders. Participants will gain a deeper knowledge on why and how to explicitly prioritize racial equity in your trust-based practices and values.

In this session, we will unpack these important nuances and will highlight examples of how grantmakers are relying on rigor and continuous learning to understand impact. Participants can expect to gain a clear understanding of trust-based philanthropy’s three-pronged approach to learning and evaluation, as well as concrete tools they can use to implement in their own work.

Over the course of a year, Philanthropy New York's Leadership Transitions Funders Group has engaged a group of NYC-based funders in building a community of practice to strengthen funder practices around supporting nonprofits going through leadership transitions and to more broadly address transition patterns or moments as they arise within the movements/fields we support. Join this exclusive one-on-one conversation that will share field learnings from an existing funder collaborative that supports leadership transitions and a funder engaged in the work separately as they make the case for funder learning organizing in this space.

This session will explore some of the underlying questions and concerns around accountability in philanthropy, and will offer insights from funders who have benefited from embracing trust-based philanthropy with a lens of mutual accountability. Participants will gain strategies for cultivating a two-way street of accountability in an equitable, trust-based way.
