The Safety & Security Institute will educate funders on the current and potential political threats to movements and the communities they organize with. Identify the roles of funders in taking action to support and ensure the right to safety and security of movements, and identify best ways to move money and hold a line of defense for movement and communities.
Participants will hear from field leaders and peers in philanthropy, and will have time to work in small groups to deepen connections with each other and with the presenters, in order to advance a collective commitment to funding movement organizations and ecosystems, as well as bringing a safety and security framework and practice to their own funding institutions.
