Event Details

The Collective Impact Forum, an initiative of FSG and the Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions, is hosting the annual Collective Impact Action Summit.

This year’s virtual Summit will gather more than 1,000 leaders from across the globe to share ideas and practical examples of how to create equitable systems, and uplift lessons learned on how collective impact efforts can connect with, bolster, and learn from movement building.

The summit includes a Funder Pre-conference on April 29, which offers space for funders to explore their role in equity-centered, place-based systems change work. This year’s pre-conference features presentations with funders who invest in movement building as a means to advance collaborative efforts.

Additionally, the plenary keynote fireside chats feature:

April 30: Rachael Lorenzo (Indigenous Women Rising) and Tamika Middleton (Women’s March) in conversation with Adaku Utah (Building Movement Project) on what movement-building is and how a core tenet of movement-building—relationships—is critical for any collective work to make progress and reach lasting change.

May 1: Charli Cooksey (WePower), Erica Henderson (Key Strategic Group), and Jason Purnell (James S. McDonnell Foundation) in conversation with John Harper (FSG) on how funders can incorporate power-building into their work and leverage their influence beyond finances to ensure the community has a seat at the table.

May 2: Collective Impact Forum Leadership Panel Discussion featuring Monique Miles (Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions), Junious Williams (Senior Advisor), and Paul Schmitz (Senior Advisor) in conversation with Jennifer Splansky Juster (Collective Impact Forum) on the challenges collaboratives are facing pursuing their equity work, and the ways that communities have been responding and how they can continue to do this work in the face of adversity.

May 2 Closing Keynote (LIVE ONLY): Stacey Abrams (Political Leader, Activist, and Best-Selling Author) in conversation with Melody Barnes (Aspen Institute) on her experiences with building movements, partnering with communities, and inspiring change.

The Collective Impact Forum is pleased to offer a $50 discount to members of Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO) to attend this year’s summit!
