NCNG Funder Call: Putting Values Into Action with GEO’s Marcus Walton

Join North Carolina Network of Grantmakers for a call with Marcus Walton, President & CEO of Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, to discuss how these changes, made in a time of crisis, can continue to support a more equitable philanthropic sector and thriving nonprofit community over the long term.

Event Details

Foundations in North Carolina, and across the country, have rapidly adapted to the needs of their communities in the wake of the global pandemic and ongoing calls for racial justice. Many lifted requirements for grant reporting, extended support, converted project grants to general operating dollars, and provided additional rapid-response funds to grantee partners. For some foundations, this has represented a shift in how they do business, and for others it accelerated a process long underway. Join North Carolina Network of Grantmakers (NCNG) for a call with Marcus Walton, President & CEO of Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, to discuss how these changes, made in a time of crisis, can continue to support a more equitable philanthropic sector and thriving nonprofit community over the long term.
