Leading Change as a Grants Manager

Grants managers are increasingly leading change efforts and pushing their organizations toward greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Event Details

Grants managers are increasingly leading change efforts and pushing their organizations toward greater efficiency and effectiveness. However, we all know that change is hard. Being an effective change leader requires self-awareness, strong communication and deft relationship-building skills. In this session, Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO) will share frameworks for thinking about change before two funders share how they are leading change, managing resistance and building relationships in their organizations. Participants in the room will have an opportunity to explore how these frameworks can lead to greater insight into their ability to navigate and lead change in their own contexts.

Objectives

  • Learn about frameworks that illustrate the process of change.
  • Hear from two funders about how they are leading change in their organizations and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.
  • Explore how participants can use these change frameworks to navigate change in their own organizations.
