Event Details

On the last Friday of January each year, Philanthropy Missouri convenes to reflect on the prior year’s accomplishments, amplify best practices, and forecast the future.

With a growing statewide membership and the opportunity to gather in-person once again, PhilMO is expanding the Annual Meeting. This expanded gathering will include cross-state networking, electing the 2023 Board, and getting the inside scoop on what’s to come from PhilMO. Expect thought-provoking sessions and dynamic speakers on timely philanthropic topics, including:

  • Civic Engagement & Democracy
  • Equitable Community Development: What’s working?
  • Interpretations & Applications of “Trust-Based Philanthropy”
  • Mythbusting: Urban & Rural Grantmaking
  • (Re)Building Nonprofit Capacity

GEO will facilitate a breakout session as part of the expanded offerings -Leveraging Race Equity Principles to Reimagine Capacity Building and Center Communities. The session draws on the recent Reimagining Capacity Building resource, which examines principles for centering racial equity in our capacity building efforts as grantmakers.
