Grantmakers’ Role in Network Weaving: A GEO-Monitor Webinar

In October 2011, 140 grantmakers met to explore the role of networks in scaling impact and what grantmakers can do to support them. A central theme that emerged from the two-day gathering was the critical role grantmakers can play in network weaving — the art of making connections among people in a group in order to strengthen existing ties, bring new people into the fold and bridge divides. Participants heard from three network weavers to learn about why this role is so important and strategies for effective network weaving in this interactive webinar.

Speakers:

Diana Scearce, Monitor Institute (moderator)

Kelly Brown, D5 Coalition

John Esterle, Whitman Institute

June Holley, network weaver
