New York City, NY
October 27- 28, 2008
Leaders in philanthropy gathered in October 2008 in New York City to share experiences and develop new strategies to shift financial thinking and actions within the sector. This conference, sponsored by GEO and the Nonprofit Finance Fund and locally hosted by the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers, sought to:
- Create a shared understanding of the priority areas that need to change in the nonprofit capital market;
- Debunk common assumptions about how money works to advance the work of nonprofits and how grantmakers can best support nonprofit results; and
- Profile promising ways that grantmakers are supporting nonprofits.
